Dec. 26, 2016 -- According to the Lhasa economic development zone, the approval process of state-level Lhasa comprehensive bonded zone goes well. With a planning area of almost six square kilometers, the construction of the comprehensive bonded zone located in Tohlung Dechen District of Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, will begin before the next March. It is expected that Lhasa comprehensive bonded zone's import and export trade will reach 35 billion yuan in 2020.

The construction of the bonded zone will be divided into four phases. The first phase mainly aims to complete the infrastructure of logistics park and the main functional area, realizing the basic function of the bonded zone. After that, warehouse district will be expanded and an export processing zone will be added, upgrading the function of original logistics park. On that basis, it will integrate the surrounding industrial park and expand business, being developed into Lhasa free trade zone.

It is expected that Lhasa comprehensive bonded zone's import and export trade will reach 35 billion yuan in 2020. Its logistics volume will amount to 9.6 million tons. The comprehensive logistics, international business, international trade, international processing, logistics finance and living facilities will be combined, connecting logistics, information flow and capital flow. Tibet's industry and society will realize comprehensive development.
