A total of 354 training activities involving planting, breeding, weaving, driving and handicrafts skills had been provided for Tibetans women in 2009.
Yang Shuwen, vice chairman of TAR Women's Federation said:" The aim to hold such kind of training activities for Tibetan women is to improve their skills and increase their incomes."
Tibet had established 5 skill training bases by allocating 1,278,300 yuan. With the great efforts from local Women's Federations, 55,000 Tibetan women received the skills training, and 134,000 Tibetan women engaged in export of labor services with increasing income of 190 million yuan. |
