The 11th Panchen Lama has met with hundreds of religious representatives in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Delegates from the China Buddhist Association's Tibetan Branch and various temples in Tibet paid homage and presented hadas, the ceremonial silk scarves used by Tibetans for blessings, to the Panchen Lama.

Afterwards, the Panchen Lama gave the monks a traditional blessing.

The Panchen Lama said he hoped Tibetan Buddhism will benefit people and contribute to the prosperity and stability of the country.
