China welcomes French stance on Tibet

The Foreign Ministry says it appreciates France's explicit commitment not to back any form of Tibetan independence.

 

 

The Foreign Ministry says it appreciates France's explicit commitment not to back any form of Tibetan independence.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang says the French government has made its position on Tibet clear in a communique released on Wednesday. And he says China hopes France can abide by the principles and spirit set forth in the document. Qin says China is always willing to enhance cooperation with France.
