Aug. 23, 2017 -- The first "2017 International Students Focus on China" culture tour, guided by the State Council Information Office (SCIO) and organized by China Intercontinental Communication Center (CICC), concluded on August 15 in Beijing. During this 16-day event, a total of 26 international students from Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, and Communication University of China traveled to Xining city, and Tibetan autonomous prefectures of Guoluo, Huangnan, Yushu in Qinghai Province, western China for photographing and experiencing the folk customs and cultures.
The students, hailing from 16 countries, were awed by both beautiful sceneries and rich cultures in Qinghai. “Qinghai impresses me with its green and fast-growing development, which I think, cannot be done without the government’s help,” said Anastasia Sukhoretskaya from Russia, adding that she would ask her Russian friends to travel to Qinghai.
More than 1,200 photography works of the participants are being displayed on the event’s official website (http://chinacool.tibetol.cn/), some of which are expected to be exhibited on university campuses. This event aims to present colorful Chinese cultures to the outside world and promote cultural exchanges between China and the world.
