Photo shows the funded college students and their parents are receiving the subsidy.

Recently, 617 college students received the supporting funds with a total number of 1.14 million yuan in Maizhokunggar County of Lhasa.

According to Maizhokunggar County Education Bureau, the funded students studying in region will get monthly 150 yuan living allowance for 10 months and 1,500 yuan extra subsidy per year. However, those who studying out of the region will receive monthly 200 yuan living allowance for 12 months and 2,400 yuan extra subsidy per year.

Dawa, a needy student said:" Thanks to the 2,400 yuan subsidy released by government, which helps reduce the burden for my family and strengthen my confidence to make contribution to our society after graduation."
