Tibet raises standard of compulsory education

Since Nov. 1, 2009, Tibet has raised the standard of compulsory education for the school-age children in its agriculture and animal husbandry areas for the 8th time. The government has carried out the "Three Guarantees" policy, covering all the food costs, living and tuition fees for students who qualify for compulsory education.
